There has been a bit of buzz in Recy Mech circles about EKA Stiff Leg Single Malt and Artificers Reserve Gin, and we would like to give everyone a change to get hold of one. All we are asking in return is a photograph!

The Challenge

Capture the unseen heroes of the battlefield: recovery vehicles and crews keeping operations moving when things go wrong. From heavy winching and field repairs to dramatic low-light recoveries, we want powerful images that tell the story of strength, teamwork, and resilience.

What We’re Looking For

Any recovery related images will be considered, but what will catch the judges eyes are:

  • Photographs featuring SVR, CRARRV, or MLRS RRV
  • Atmosphere: mud, rain, dust, night ops, training areas, or exercise environments
  • Human element encouraged: crews at work, coordination, problem-solving
  • High-resolution preferred

Style Ideas

  • Wide shots showing scale and terrain
  • Action moments: tensioned winches, lifted powerpacks, recovered platforms
  • Moody lighting: dawn, dusk, or night recovery scenes

What we are not looking for

  • No classified equipment or sensitive locations visible
  • No unsafe practices
  • No offensive images
  • No AI

Rules

  • Open to serving personnel, veterans, and MOD-accredited photographers over the age of 18.
  • Multiple entries are welcome
  • Must be your image
  • You must have permission of anyone identifiable in images to share

How to enter

By entering you are agreeing to the terms and conditions below. Simply email your images to info@ekalimited.com with the subject “Photograph Competition” before February 15th 2026. Please include your name and contact details.

Winners

Eligibility
Open to serving personnel, veterans, and MOD-accredited photographers over the age of 18.

Entry Requirements
By entering, you confirm that:

  • You are the original creator and copyright owner of the submitted image(s).
  • The image has not been copied or generated using AI.
  • You have obtained all necessary permissions, including model and property releases, for any identifiable people or private property featured.

Rights Granted
By submitting an entry, you grant EKA Limited a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, edit, publish, and display the image(s) for commercial and marketing purposes, including but not limited to advertising, digital media, social media, print, and promotional materials.
You retain ownership of your images.

Judging & Prizes
Entries will be judged based on creativity, quality, and relevance to the competition theme. Judges’ decisions are final. Prizes are non-transferable and no cash alternative will be offered unless stated.

Prohibited Content
Images must not contain offensive, illegal, misleading, or unsafe content, or depict improper use of equipment. Entries that violate these terms may be disqualified.

Liability & Indemnity
Entrants agree to protect EKA Limited from any claims related to the use of their submitted images.

General
EKA Limited reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend the competition at any time. These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom.
